Need help with compulsive overeating

by Treehouse44221 @ 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

Oh gee, where do I start? I am 53, about 5'9", and quickly closing in on 300 pounds. I have no idea how to stop this crazy eating. As long as I can remember I have used food to anesthesize myself against the pain of a life full of abandonment, rejection and abuse. I just finished dinner...

Need Advice--Ideal Protein Not Working So Well For Me

by Tiggero5501 @ 3 Fat Chicks on a Diet Weight Loss Community

I have been on Ideal Protein since November, with a goal of losing 40 lbs. Well, I just reached the 3-month mark and have lost 25 lbs so far, so it is working but just very slowly--aside from the first few weeks where I lost a good amount of pounds, I have lost an average of 1-1.5 lbs each week...

Show Someone You Care with Heart-Shaped Hard-Boiled Eggs

by Valerio Farris @ Food52

Have you ever wanted to eat a boiled egg shaped like a heart? No? Well, regardless, now you can. And I’m here to show you how. I happened upon this odd but ingenious YouTube video that shows users just how to go about molding your hard-boiled egg into the shape of a heart.

Heart-boiled egg, anyone?

The process, it seems, is simple enough. All you need is an egg, a strip of card stock, a chopstick, and two rubber bands. To begin, fold your strip of card stock hot-dog-bun style, so it makes a shallow canoe. Then take a freshly boiled and peeled hard-boiled egg (I’d recommend a 10-minute boil or longer, so that the yolk fully sets) and place it longways in the basin of the card stock. Lay your chopstick along the egg so it slightly indents into the egg and secure the whole thing together with a rubber band at each end. For clearer instructions, watch the video below:

I love them! I’d slice one in half and eat it as it, or decorate a salad with them. Or present one to a friend as a token of my eggy gratitude. Happy Valentine’s Day, lovebirds!

How would you serve a heart-shaped egg? Tell us what you think in the comments below.
